CombiTile®
This unique and patent-protected concept commenced development by the team at CombiTile® in 2016 in recognition of a need in the playground surfacing market.
The CombiLock and CombiFlex products have all achieved certification under these critical fall height standards. CombiLock has also achieved certification under ASNZ4586- Appendix C Wet-Barefoot Inclining Platform Test.
The CombiTile products are critical fall height tested and certified, recyclable, durable, UV stabilsied, chlorine resistant, contain no VOCs, are lightweight and durable with a 5 year product warranty.
They are repositionable, lightweight, can be installed in all but the worst of weather conditions. They require no harmful adhesives and solvents that are a danger to the health of the play area users and installers. And they pose no threat to the environment.
The surfacing product used for attenuation in play areas must comply with standards such as AS4422:2016 in Australia.
These standards reflect the safe fall height required by various surfacing products including artificial grass, trowelled soft fall Rubber, rubber matting and loose fill.
CombiTile has designed and registered products with patents approved, and pending to meet the critical fall height requirements for playground, wet play areas & splash pads and sports fields surfaces to reduce injuries, including head injuries and long bone fractures.
CombiLock - Water Park Surfaces
CombiLock® is a durable and slip-resistant surfacing system designed for water parks, splash pads, and various wet or dry areas. Suited for both indoor and outdoor venues, it requires a concrete substrate with proper drainage.
CombiLock meets essential criteria, including slip resistance, cost-effective life cycle, child-friendly aesthetics, a minimum 5-year lifespan, minimal fading, chlorine resistance, and resistance to mold and fungus. It offers installation and storage benefits, providing an attractive, hardwearing solution for year-round use, especially in colder climates where indoor water parks are becoming more prevalent.

CombiFlex® Superior Product
Offering significant advantages over traditional playground surfacing solutions.
Its easy installation, combined attenuation and drainage, cost-effectiveness, durability, and simple repairs. It is suitable for both dry and wet playgrounds, lightweight, stackable, and inexpensive to transport. In artificial grass applications, it enhances drainage, cleanliness, and longevity.
The system accommodates optional fill like sand or rubber crumb, maintaining shock attenuation. It enables predetermined shock attenuation properties, reducing sports-related injuries. Consistent surface levels are assured with a standard installation method. There’s no leaching of VOCs, and the system remains uncompressed over time, ensuring no degradation in fall height rating, even in waterpark environments.
CombiFlex offers a durable and long-lasting artificial turf surface, ensuring consistent shock attenuation and effective drainage for sports fields. Benefits include a reliable playing surface level, excellent drainage, and all-weather playability.
It adheres to fall attenuation standards, with options for surface finishes and the ability for synthetic grass to bounce back to shape. CombiTile is suitable for installation in all weather conditions, providing a resilient and predictable surface for sports fields with a focus on player safety, performance, and durability.

CombiMesh®
“CombiMeshADV” - is a single-sided self-adhesive plastic mesh laid directly over CombiFlex to support surface finishes such as EPDM, Artificial Grass and CombiLock.
For sand-filled artificial grass we recommend a second layer of CombiMeshADV applied in the opposite direction (one-layer north-south and the second layer east-west) to minimise any reflections of the CombiFlex pattern on the surface. The CombiMeshADV rolls are 1m x 20m and there is no wastage of paper or film on the roll - just unroll and apply.
The CombiTile products are critical fall height tested and certified, recyclable, durable, UV stabilsied, chlorine resistant, contain no VOCs, are lightweight and durable with a 5-year product warranty and are insured for public liability and product integrity.
